Sophie Weallens
FINAL YEAR PROFESSIONAL THERAPIST:
WORKS WITH ADULTS, TEENS & CHILD

About Me:
I’m Sophie, a second-year trainee therapist studying for my MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Leeds. I work with children, teens, and adults, creating a safe, non-judgemental space where clients feel heard and valued.
My interest in people began with a BSc in Psychology at Northumbria University, where I developed a strong foundation but wanted a deeper, more human connection. Training as a therapist allows me to support others with warmth and acceptance, valuing the unique connection formed in therapy.
Specialist interest and/or experience:
I am interested in working with children, teens and adults.
Clinical approaches:

What are you passionate about:
I enjoy spending time in nature, especially walking my lurchers, tending to my allotment where I grow vegetables and flowers, and caring for my chickens. These activities help me stay grounded and reflective, qualities I bring into my therapeutic work.
